Our team

The Air Planner team has been recruited from many different areas of the aviation industry. This includes air traffic control, international trip planning, flight dispatch, aircrew and ground operations. We operate a year-round 24 hour service.

Air Planner is a service team designed to provide unrivalled support to your flight department. Regular training ensures our team know the latest company, customer and legislative requirements. This is monitored through our quality system and regular audits. Our team comprises industry-respected people; the key individuals are:

Management

• Mike Woodhall

  Before joining Air Planner, Mike gained experience in the aviation industry both as aircrew and later with BaseOps Europe. Mike is widely experienced in all aspects of International trip / flight planning, civilian and Diplomatic permit acquisition and Ground Operations.

• Mike Hawkey

  Mike’s experience covers the majority of operational areas; passenger services, weight and balance, aircraft dispatch, operations control and flight planning. His previous management experience includes being an AOC post holder for a UK airline.

Consultant

• Tim Lester

  Holding over 40 years of industry experience starting in air traffic control and airline flight dispatch, Tim also holds an FAA Dispatch Licence and is a qualified loadmaster. Through extensive experience, Tim is an expert in international trip planning.

Supervisors

• Alec Walker

  Having started as an Air Traffic Services Assistant at Manston Airport, Alec now specializes in flight planning and Air Traffic Management as well as Quality Control and Document Control procedures.

• Iain Waite

  Iain has a comprehensive experience of aviation, with roles including dispatch, passenger services, ramp handling, cargo and most recently comprehensive flight / trip planning. Iain also has a BA (Hons) in Airline and Airport Management.

• Sandy Love

  With 38 Years aviation experience, including the Royal Air Force, Sandy has widespread experience in commercial cargo operations, flight planning, permit acquisition and out sourced operations support. He has also worked extensively in Africa and Middle East both as a station manager and a loadmaster.

• Helen White

  Having completed a travel and tourism course at college, Helen then worked as aircrew and ground services for a major UK airline based at London Gatwick, where she later worked in a supervisory role.

Flight Planning Team

• Darius Assassi

  Darius gained his PPL, CPL and Instructor Rating at the Bristol Flight Centre. Flying in the UK and Europe, Darius is an in-house expert in the regulations and restrictions of private flying. As well as designing and building bespoke production computers Darius also devotes much of his spare time to private flight instructing.

• Iain Sealey

  During his time at Oxford Aviation Training, Iain attended a ground school to gain an Airline Transport Pilots Licence. During his time there he was extensively trained in meteorology, human performance and limitations, weight and balance, flight planning and principles of flight.

• Kenny McCann

  Following 12 years service in the Royal Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller for all 3 Area radar units in UK – including the controlling and coordinating of various civil and military emergencies, Kenny moved into Civil Aviation. where he worked for SITA, EAG and many of the UK’s major airlines, most recently becoming station Manager for a UK scheduled airline.

• Chris Moult

  Chris joined Air Planner following 22 years of service in the Royal Air Force where he led and managed operations ranging from VIP to those in hostile environments. He is experienced in all aspects of airfield and flight operations and holds an FAA Dispatcher licence.

Operations Team

• Mike George

  Starting in airline catering and cabin services, Mike now has widespread experience of most aspects of commercial and private aviation. He is a veteran of flight following, flight planning and ground operations.

• Hayley Pryszlak

  Starting her aviation career in Cargo, Hayley moved into Passenger Services at London Gatwick Airport, working with major international airlines.

• Vera Alladitta

  Working for a major UK scheduled airline for eight years both at London Heathrow and then at Amsterdam Schipol, Vera gained a wealth of experience in both passenger and ground ops services. She is fluent in Czech and can speak a number of other languages.

• Cara Bissett

  Cara started her career as aircrew, and then progressed to Operations for a major UK airline based at London Gatwick. Over 3 years she quickly advanced to the position of Aircraft Controller and has an excellent knowledge base in Ops, including ground handling and aircraft movement, meteorology and aircraft performance.
